Adopt-A-Highway

Rhode Island TU maintains a 2-mile stretch of Rte. 165 with four roadside cleanups from May to October.  Bags of trash that are collected are picked up and properly disposed by Hope Valley.

Volunteers, both members and non-members, meet at the RIDEM Deer Check Station on Rte. 165 where it crosses over the Wood River at 9am.  After roadside trash is collected on the 2-mile stretch lunch is provided back at the Check Station.

Gloves, bags and tools are provided.
