Rhode Island TU maintains a 2-mile stretch of Rte. 165 in Exeter, RI with four roadside cleanups from May to October. Bags of trash that are collected are picked up and properly disposed by. Volunteers, both members and non-members, meet at 10am at the RIDEM Deer Check Station on Rte. 165 where it crosses over the Wood River. We will form teams of 2-3 to cover approximately 1/2 mile to pick up trash along the road.
Roadside safety vests, gloves, bags and trash pickup tools will be provided. Lunch is also provided.
Let us know if you are planning to "Volunteer" for this event so we may plan for lunch and let us know if you have any dietary restrictions.
