Music City Chapter of Trout Unlimited :
Working to promote Conservation, provide Education, and keep our blue lines blue.
Music City Trout Unlimited is focused on bringing people together across the greater Middle Tennessee area to help keep our rivers clean, cold, protect our community’s access to the fish, and educate people about trout and fishing.
We have many excellent auction items for you to choose from. The proceeds of your purchase(s) will provide support for MCTU's work in conservation, education, efforts to keep our local waters clean, and the operation of the Chapter. All proceeds stay within chapter and are only used in the middle Tennessee area. MCTU is a 501c3 organization and your purchase(s) is/are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Please, consult your tax professional.
Some of MCTU's efforts
Caney Fork River Conservation:
Keeping the Caney cold for trout to thrive by working with the Corps of Engineers to set a minimum flow and improving dissolved oxygen in the river.
Increasing and maintaining water quality monitors on the Caney.
Work closely with the Tennessee Wildlife Recourses Agency to promote sustainable fishing practices.
Engaging local students:
Establishing Trout in the Classroom in 3 local schools. The schools recently released 600 trout into the Caney.
Scholarships to Trout Camp
Cleaning up local rivers, including:
Recent cleanup with the Harpeth Conservancy to remove 350 pounds of junk from Mill Creek.
Planned cleanups for Richland and Sycamore creeks.
