Topic: Crayfish Creek as a Classroom
Tixie Fowler, Founder and Executive Director of Gardens for Growing Community.
Our Guest speaker will be Tixie Fowler from the Gwinnett Soil and Water Conservation District, who has been instrumental in the Crayfish Creek Project.
Tixie was named “Conservationist of the Year” by the Georgia Chapter of the American Fisheries Society for inspiring students, volunteers and federal agencies to unite to restore the most heavily impacted tributary in Atlanta’s Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area.
She will be discussing using Crayfish Creek as a Classroom.
We gather on the fourth Tuesday of each month. The social hour begins at 6 PM, followed by the meeting at 7 PM.
