From Guest Speaker Ed Lombardo -
My presentation will show several great New England Trout Streams here in RI, Ma, and Ct. I'll be showing tactics and techniques that I have been using for years for catching trout, on a dry fly. You will see all my favorite flies I use to imitate those most vulnerable stages of the hatch, for Mayflies, Stoneflies, Caddisflies, and Midges. I will explain and show illustrations and actual photos of what to look for when mimicking these stages with an artificial. These dry flies will not only match the hatch but go one step further for trout that are feeding selectively.
Some of these flies are flies that I have developed over the years that have proven to be very effective. Flies that match: Trapped Emergers, Duns, FLoating Nymphs, Floating Pupa and Spent Spinners. I will show how to read the water that holds the most fish, and the different casts to use in such places for a drag free float, and more.
