Meetings are always open to the public and guest are invited to come early, socialize, and enjoy dinner and beverages.

In recognition of Cancer Awareness Month, FVTU will be Hosting Dr. Maria Ellis and Casting for Recovery CT.

Casting for Recovery's mission is to help women with breast cancer on their road to recovery by providing free fly fishing retreats that offer opportunities for healing and support. These retreats combine the therapeutic benefits of fly fishing with counseling, creating a unique experience that fosters physical, emotional, and spiritual well being.

FVTU has been a long time supporter of CfR CT. Numerous TU members have lent their time to guide the participants at their retreats and can tell you what an uplifting experience it has been for them.

Dr. Ellis, an excellent fly angler, will be giving a presentation on the program along with other members of the organization. If your unfamiliar with this organization, we highly recommend coming out and learning frsthand.

These events are a great opportunity to meet fellow anglers and conservationists, as well as learn a thing or two about local fishing opportunities and exciting projects we're working on!
