MCTU Smokey Mountain Fly Fishing Gathering: This is the next in a series of Fly-Fishing informational meetings.  We are very excited to announce that our guest speakers are Charity and Ian Rutter. Charity and Ian are owners of R and R Fly Fishing in Townsend TN. They have been guiding in the Great Smoky Mountains for over 20 years. Along with their successful business, they are artists, graphic designers, and authors having published several books on fly fishing, including their latest "Fly Fishing Guide to the Great Smokey Mountain National Park".

 

 "Whether you are a seasoned angler or just learning how to cast a fly rod, our goal is simple: we want you to have fun and learn how to become a better fly fisher. We have chosen to spend our lives fly fishing and invite you to come join us on the water."

This is a BYOC (Bring Your Own Chair) gathering. Capacity at Fly South is 60 a ticket will be required so RSVP soon. 

 

 

Schedule for the evening: 5:30-6:30 social time, meet a new fishing buddy, food/beverages fly tying demo, casting tune ups, 6:30-7:00 Chapter Update, 7:00-8:00, Guest Speakers Ian and Charity Rutter, 8:30-? Questions and Answers 

 

Special Raffle: There will be a raffle for a wonderful prize, (will be announced later). Additional prizes will be part of the action. Everyone will receive one ticket at the door; additional tickets will be available for purchase. All proceeds remain in MCTU to benefit our education and conservation efforts.  Must be present at the meeting to win.
