CNY Fly Tying Symposium and Outdoor Celebration
Details
What?
The Central New York Fly Tying Symposium is a great day of fun and activities. We will have over 30 fly tyers, vendors and exhibits, bucket raffles, speakers, swap meet, food and refreshments, and the best part , admission is free and open to the public.
Why?
We are trying to raise funds to support Trout In The Classroom (TIC) programs and Mohawk Valley TU River Keepers. There are currently over 25 programs in the region. Our goal is to increase the number of classes to 30. Funds raised go directly to support equipment for this great educational program. The new MVTURK project started in 2025 with teams sampling water each month at five stream locations in central NY. We hope to add enough equipment for volunteers to add five more stream locations in 2026.
