James Parker founded Arbor Anglers in Lafayette in 2018, driven by his lifelong passion for fly fishing. His journey began in Texas and Florida, where he first pursued warm water species before quickly advancing to saltwater fishing. His love for fishing was nurtured by his father and grandfather, with his grandfather introducing him to the fly rod. Both played pivotal roles in shaping his deep connection to the outdoors, particularly fishing. James' 40 year passion for fly fishing was further ignited during a visit to Colorado with his then-girlfriend, now-wife, while in college, and he never looked back.
