Barrier Assessment Training (BAT) for the Westside
Greetings to TU Members on the Westside. Spring is coming and so is BAT training for the Olympic Peninsula and all over the westside. Luke Kelly, TU staff member and culvert guru will be leading a BAT training on April 9th and 10th. The training on the 9th will be virtual from 1 to 4pm. If you can't make it, you can watch the training on our YouTube channel. The training on the 10th will be in person at Wildcat Lake in Kitsap County.

This consists of two trainings that are required to join the WA Council of Trout Unlimited's Barrier Assessment Team (BAT).
  • April 9th from 1-4PM via Google Meets Video Conference
  • April 10th from 9AM-4PM in person at Wildcat Lake in Kitsap County. Meet at Wildcat Lake County Park, 9245 NW Holly Rd, Bremerton, WA 98312.

Attendance at both trainings is required. You can attend another locations training if need be. Contact the Volunteer Barrier Assessment Team Coordinator, Nick Ulacia, at nicholas@washingtontu.org with any questions you might have.

What to bring:
  • Preferably waders, but high rubber boots are acceptable
  • Lunch and water
  • Dress for the weather, bring extra layers in case you get cold
Once signed up, further information will be sent with specific locations to meet and the Google Meets Video Conferencing link.
