Join us for our next chapter meeting that will be held in the Community Room within the Public Lands store at Shoppers World in Framingham on Monday, December 4th, starting at 6:30pm There is plenty of free parking that includes EV charging stations with easy access off the Mass Pike at exit 117.

The Community Room is to the right of the climbing wall, on the left hand side of the store.

Our guest speaker is Jonathan Bunker, head guide of Square Tail Anglers who will be talking about how to fish the Deerfield River, focusing on flies, flows, time of year and tactics. He will also talk a little about the wild trout populations in the Deerfield.

Although he does not recall the time, Jonathan is told his father hiked with him on his back at 10 weeks old.  From that point on he has had a deep passion for the outdoors.  He was handed a fly rod at the age of 10 and has yet to put it down.  Jonathan’s passion, or what some might say “his obsession” for fly fishing has brought him to many areas of North America where he has learned to sharpen his skills and knowledge on many varieties of water.

Jonathan grew up on the Deerfield and Millers Rivers, exploring every riffle and run, hiking miles along the riverbank to catch trout that rarely saw another fisherman. He has been guiding on these waters since 2010, initially as a wade guide until he realized the greater opportunity and potential that drift boats encompass for client success and enjoyment on these rivers. Thus, Jonathan’s guiding has been directed solely to the use of 13′ Aire rafts with custom NRS fishing frames. The accessibility to remote sections of these rivers is not only a joy to float through, but offers more chances at absolutely spectacular fish.

Food and beverages will be provided and admission is free, but please register for the event, so that we know how many people to expect.

A donation to cover the cost of food and beverages is recommended but optional.
